About the Producer

Vincent Carême is a first-generation winemaker who established his eponymous domaine in 1999. He is recognized as part of the new wave of winemakers revitalizing Vouvray in the Loire Valley, a region that had seen better days. Starting with just five hectares of vines inherited from his parents, he has since expanded to 15 hectares, primarily of Chenin Blanc, and includes a parcel in the renowned Le Clos vineyard. Vineyard health is central to Vincent's success, as he practices organic farming across his estate. Working mainly with Chenin Blanc, he and his wife Tania produce a diverse range of styles, including sparkling, dry, and sweet wines, showcasing the grape's remarkable versatility. His Vouvray exemplifies the quality of the appellation, while his sparkling wines, crafted in the ancestral method, are rich and age-worthy, further affirming his commitment to excellence.
