About the Producer
Vignoble de Pauline Truchetet, located in the scenic Loire Valley of France. At Domaine Truchetet, Meticulous vineyard management begins with rigorous manual work throughout the year. The team practices careful pruning in both Guyot and Cordon de Royat styles to optimize vine health and delay bud burst in case of spring frost. Disbudding and initial trimming are performed to regulate harvest yields and promote grape maturity while maintaining air circulation to minimize disease pressure. The winery has adapted trellising heights to enhance photosynthesis and accommodate climate changes, ensuring sustainable practices without soil compaction. Cover crops boost soil biology, and no pesticides are used; treatments rely on natural plant-based methods. Harvesting involves a dedicated team picking grapes by hand in small crates to avoid damage. White wines undergo pressing in pneumatic presses, fermenting in barrels by gravity, while red wines are traditionally fermented with indigenous yeasts. The winery, now under Pauline Genot's leadership as of 2022, maintains an organic approach, ensuring quality and sustainability in every vintage.
