Vergisson, who saved Maconnais for a few hundred francs, bought a small estate and established Domaine Guffens-Heynen. He did not use chemical fertilizers, used natural yeast mountains, reduced production, and did not filter. , 㐰The purity of the Huoliu terroir, the reputation of Domaine Guffens-Heynen gradually increased. In 1991, Guffens established Maison Verget and began to purchase grapes for brewing. Verget's full range of products are all white wines, covering almost the entire Burgundy. Although it is not Domaine wine, Guffens is not slack about the raw materials. The contracted grape growers must be low-yielding, harvest when they are the most mature, and they will be checked frequently. Whether the wine grower planted grapes according to his requirements, Guffens is known as one of the hardest workers in Burgundy, in the eyes of Chablis grape growers, Jean-Marie Guffens "They are one-eyed kings in the land of the blind" praised Guffens vision and talent.
