About the Producer
Mount Mary Vineyard is located in the Yarra Valley wine region of Victoria, Australia. Since its inception, the winery's success has been due to its focus on making the highest quality wines, respecting only the motto "quality over quantity". Chateau Marie Hill takes care of the environment of its vineyards. More than half of the winery's land is not directly related to winemaking. The health of the vineyard is the primary concern of the winery, and their long-term goal is to be self-sufficient in energy and water. Promoting the least possible human impact on the environment. Despite the challenges the winery has faced over the years, it will continue to promote the health of the vineyard environment by continuing to implement its planting program and the design of its water and energy systems. The vegetated planted areas of the property have attracted numerous native birds. The winery has been very fortunate to be an integral part of the Water's Stream Frontage in Melbourne over the past few years. The ultimate goal of the winery's environmental efforts is to be efficient and self-sufficient in the use of energy and water, to provide habitat for native birds, and to reduce negative environmental impacts through the efficient disposal of waste products. Maryhill produces a wide range of red and white wines such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Quintet and Triolet, all of which are of excellent quality. The Triolet series is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Muscadelle, while the Quintet series is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Viandot. Many critics consider the Quintet wines to be very similar in style to the Chateau Margaux wines, with complex and complete structures, elegant and grand wines, and a long, lingering finish.
