About the Producer
The Morey family has deep roots in Chassagne Montrachet, with Jean-Marc Morey establishing his own domaine in 1981 after his father Albert retired. Albert was a pioneer in bottling wines in Chassagne, starting in 1950. Jean-Marc manages 8.25 hectares of vineyards across Chassagne, St. Aubin, Santenay, and Beaune, producing a balanced selection of red and white wines. His approach emphasizes terroir, avoiding modern homogenization. Notable wines include the Santenay 1er Cru “Grand Clos Rousseau,” various Chassagne whites from lieux-dits like “Chaumées” and “Champs Gains,” and the elegant Beaune 1er Cru “Greves”.
