About the Producer
Domaine Fleurot-Larose is managed by René Fleurot, alongside his son Nicolas Fleurot. The estate's roots trace back to 1843, when Château du Passe-Temps was constructed by Jacques-Marie Duvault-Blochet, the former owner of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. The château features two levels and four vaulted cellars that extend over 1,400 m², characterized by a damp and cool environment ideal for aging wine. The Fleurot family acquired the estate in 1912, and in 1919, they purchased a significant plot of Montrachet. However, over time, much of the domaine's holdings were sold off to various owners, including Edmond Delagrange-Bachelet, Domaine Leflaive, and in 1994, to Château de Puligny-Montrachet (which has since been sold to Domaine d’Eugénie). René Fleurot employs 100% new oak for the grands crus of the white wines, while older casks are utilized for the reds, showcasing a commitment to quality and tradition in winemaking.
