Chanin Wine Co.is dedicated to producing wines from Santa Barbara County that authentically reflect the unique characteristics of their individual vineyards. The cool coastal winds, diverse marine-based soils, and extended growing season of the region create an ideal environment for Burgundian grapes. The vineyards are central to Chanin's philosophy, with each wine crafted from grapes grown at a single vineyard, avoiding blends. The winery actively seeks out old vines, including some of the oldest in the county, which contributes to the production of refreshingly balanced wines with lower alcohol levels compared to many California "blockbuster" styles.
