Description

A fruity, sweet and fragrant whisky with warm woody spices and a natural deep copper colour, crafted from just 22 casks – ten first-fill sherry seasoned European oak hogsheads, two first-fill sherry seasoned American oak hogsheads, four first-fill sherry seasoned American oak butts, five refill hogsheads and one refill butt. Each cask was hand-selected by our Master Whisky Maker for its marrying potential, depth of flavour and complex character. The flavour A rich and unforgettable experience. Deeply fragrant on the nose, with notes of peach and satsuma, delicate peat and pistachio biscotti. On the palate, spicy coriander seeds and oregano mix with gentle heathered Orkney peat. The finish is sweet and woody, with a hint of citrus peel. The craft Out of the 22 casks used to make this whisky, 10 first-fill, sherry-seasoned European hogsheads led the way for intense and spicy notes, which we balanced with the warmer, sweeter flavours of the American oak butts and hogsheads. Refill casks helped to round out these flavours for a finish that is rich, complex and full-bodied.
