About the Producer
The Graillot family has built a prestigious reputation in Northern Rhône for producing exquisite Syrah since 1985. In 2011, Maxime and Antoine Graillot expanded their winemaking to Beaujolais, acquiring 5 hectares of declassified parcels on the Côte de Besset in Saint-Amour and 3 hectares in Fleurie. The domaine is situated at Alain Graillot’s mother’s house in Tournon-sur-Rhône, located between Burgundy and Lyon, and is named after the farm where Madame Graillot grew up. The legendary Graillot family is known for producing some of the most age-worthy and delicious Syrah, with few producers matching their ability. Their love for Gamay led them to Beaujolais, where they found prime, organically farmed sites in Fleurie and Saint-Amour in 2013. With these pristine granite vineyards, the Graillot family has established themselves as a significant player in a region experiencing a vinicultural renaissance.
