About the Producer
Champagne J. de Telmont is a 100% family-owned House founded in Damery in 1912. Today, the fourth generation of the Lhopital family, brother and sister Bertrand and Pascale, manage the estate. Champagne J. de Telmont’s vineyard is extending over 33 hectares in eight villages planted with the 3 classic Champagne grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The vineyard is worked in an environmentally respectful way; 12 hectares are conducted under biodynamic cultivation. Certain sections of the house's vineyard have received its first organic certification. In total, Champagne J. de Telmont uses the harvest of 96 hectares of vineyards located in the Grands, Premiers and other Crus. Remy Cointreau becomes major shareholder of Telmont in 2020 while Leonardo Dicaprio invested as a minority shareholder in 2022. The future of the House will be built alongside Bertrand Lhôpital who remains Cellar Master and Head of Viticulture at Telmont.
