About the Producer
Situated close to Paris, the mission of the Chablis vineyards has for centuries been to offer white wines of exceptional quality.. The wine's minerality comes from the Chardonnay grape planted in a unique soil called Kimmeridgian. The soil is composed of layers of compact limestone and very soft clay marl containing fossilised marine organisms. This geological stage dates back 70 million years when the sea receded at the end of the Jurassic period. Our vineyards expand in 2012 with the Extension Appellation d'Origine Controlée (AOC) "Chablis Premier Cru" Fourchaume and Beauroy, which extends by one year the conversion AB for these wines.
