About the Producer
Maison Alex Gambal is located in the Beaune region of Burgundy, France, and is a well-known winery in the region. Alex Gambal Winery was founded in 1997 by Alex Gambal. Alex has a strong passion for wine, having enrolled in viticulture courses and visiting numerous wineries in Burgundy. After some deliberation, Alex chose the location of the winery in the Bern production area. Alex's goal in creating the winery is to produce pure wines that reflect the quality of Burgundy's terroir. The vineyards of Vineyard Alex Gamble are mainly distributed in the Volnay region, where Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are planted. Alex firmly believes that natural and pure grapes are the primary prerequisite for making high-quality wines. Therefore, in the process of viticulture, Alix respects the natural growth law of grapes and does not use chemical fertilizers or herbicides. In addition, he regularly arranges manual pruning of the vines and cleaning up the garbage in the garden. When the grapes are fully ripe, the winery picks the grapes manually. In addition to making wine from the estate's vineyards, the winery also buys large quantities of grapes from other high-quality appellations such as Chambolle-Musigny, Fixin, Vougeot and Chassagne-Montrachet. Alex Gamble Winery follows the traditional winemaking philosophy of the Burgundy region. All harvested grapes need to be carefully selected, only good quality grapes can be used for brewing. When making Chardonnay white wine, Alex Gamble winery will first pour the grapes into the air press, press lightly for 2 to 3 hours to break the grapes into juice. After pressing, the grape juice is manually poured into the fermenting barrel and fermented with natural yeast. Fermented wines continue to age in barrels for 10 to 16 months. During the aging period, the winery does not carry out human intervention. When the aging is over, the winery will arrange a pouring of the cans, and then glue down without filtering. When making Pinot Noir, Alex Campbell first de-stemmed the grapes, and then poured them into the wine tank to macerate at low temperature for 5 to 8 days. After that, alcoholic fermentation is carried out, and the fermentation time is maintained for about 10 to 14 days. After fermentation, the winery presses the wine to extract sufficient tannins and flavors. The winery then pours the wine back into the fermenter for a second fermentation, malolactic fermentation, where it ages for 10 to 16 months. After the aging is completed, the winery will pour the cans once, and then bottle it in the winery. Before bottling, neither glue nor filter. Alex Gamble Winery has launched a variety of high-quality wines, which have been recognized by industry insiders and consumers, and have developed into a dazzling star in the Burgundy region.
